I O M constitutes part of the shipping document used for installation and operation as the name suggests.

 

 I O M also lists the volume and number of consumables such as bolts, gaskets, oil that is needed for installation, operation and periodic check, servicing and maintenance.

 

 

 

Pre Commissioning & Commissioning:

Before the equipment become fully operational, it needs to be pre commissioned to see whether it is in working order and then commissioned together with a series of other equipment to see whether the whole group of equipment works in unison satisfactorily.

 

All these activities have a sequence of tests that should be followed (called I T P) and a number of checklists that need to be ticked before the equipment is declared safe (called mechanical completion) in order to initiate pre-commissioning and commissioning.
