Do You Arrange the API Examination, or Do I Need to Register Myself?
API certification is an Individual Certification Program (ICP). This means that each candidate is responsible for registering and applying directly with the American Petroleum Institute (API). Unfortunately, we cannot register or book the examination on your behalf.
To make the process as straightforward as possible, we provide a free introductory module (Module 1) in each of our online training courses. This module guides you through the entire certification process, including:
- API qualification and eligibility requirements
- How to complete the online application
- Examination windows and important deadlines
- Examination fees
- Selecting your Prometric test centre or remote proctoring (where applicable)
- Scheduling your examination
- Examination format and scoring
- Time management and exam-day tips
- Common mistakes to avoid during the application process
