Ensure WPS takes into account actual pipe grade/thickness, base and filler metals.
2. 𝙌𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙮 𝙒𝙚𝙡𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙞𝙥𝙚 𝙋𝙤𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙉𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙙
Validate Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) performed on the actual pipe welding positions that will be required (1G, 2G, 5G, 6G).
3. 𝘾𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠 𝙋𝙞𝙥𝙚 𝘽𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡 𝘼𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩
Misaligned bevels can lead to lack of penetration defects. Use fit-up gauges, laser alignment tools, bevel gauge.

Ensure consumables are stored properly to prevent moisture that can cause hydrogen cracking.
